The photographer, web designer, videographer, and producer Zach Hellmuth is a man with versatile talent. From the photographs above, you can see how he uses film grain, editing effects, and carefully placed camera angles to bring lots of emotion to his work. Whether it’s an intense action shot of a skateboarder soaring through the air, or a model laying completely still on simple-looking bed sheets, he manages to highlight the most awe-inspiring aspect of each shot so that they’re all uniquely different. And, noticing the sunset photograph above, you can see that Hellmuth’s skill-set isn’t limited to solely portraits.
So, what is his video production work like? Most artists seem to have one craft they excel at the most. For Hellmuth, this master-craft seems to be video production. The show reels, video teasers, and short movies on his website are mostly all filmed, edited, and finalized by his hands only. Zach’s video productions cover a wide array of footage—there’s everything from extreme sports to fashion reels. Although the content in every video is different, his signature style remains strong throughout each one. The way he transitions between video clips in synchronization with the background music makes you wonder if the music was created purposefully for the very video itself. On top of this, some of the elements he uses in his photography work can be seen throughout the films. The grainy textures, film burn effects, and unique angles are all there.
